Laindon man appears in court accused of causing deaths of two people by dangerous driving in Basildon

A LAINDON man has appeared in court accused of causing the deaths of two people by dangerous driving in Basildon.

Ashley Deadman, 27, of Bostocke Close, has also been charged with two counts of causing death by driving without due care/consideration while unfit through drugs.

The charges relate to the deaths of Carli Scott, 30, and Dean Evans, 35, both from Basildon, following a collision on Nethermayne on March 22 last year.

Deadman did not enter a plea at Basildon Magistrates’ Court today. He was released on bail and will next appear at Basildon Crown Court for a plea and trial preparation hearing on May 11.
