IRON MAN helped staff at three banks in Romford raise almost £3,000 for a hospital charity.
The superhero appeared in aid of King George and Queen’s Hospitals Charity, which funds improvements to the hospitals in Goodmayes and Romford.
Staff from branches of NatWest, Halifax and Barclays in South Street, put on tombolas, laid out refreshments and provided information about the charity.
Grant Thomas, manager of the NatWest branch in Romford town centre, said: “It was great to be able to support the King George and Queen’s Hospitals Charity. We were proud to host the charity and help to build awareness and support for this worthwhile cause which supports so many people who depend on our local hospitals.”
