GETTING TOGETHER: Karen Flint and Dawn Gomes prepare for the North London Business Expo.

AN EVENT aiming to encourage collaboration between businesses in the area takes place next month.
The North London Business Expo takes place at Leyton Orient FC on May 15 and the organisers believe it will be bigger and better than last year’s debut.
Hosted by New Direction Partnership, a networking group in east London run by local businesswoman Karen Flint, the Expo brings together companies in the area and further afield for a day geared towards generating leads, establishing new relationships, networking and educating.
This year’s expo is sponsored by accountants Raffingers-Stuart and media experts Marcomedia Solutions, and will also feature a series of seminars from leading business speakers including Warren Cass and Robert Craven.
Karen, who is organising the event together with co-director, Dawn Gomes, said: “We are passionate about enabling businesses to come together in mutually beneficial ways; whether it’s buying services from each other or finding ways to collaborate.
Haven House children’s hospice is the Expo’s chosen charity, and will benefit with a donation to be presented after the event.
Entrance is free to visitors if pre-registered, which you can do by visiting www.northeast
